Cape Porpoise has become "our spot" thanks to this house!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Langsford house again this August. The space and natural light are so inviting, and the house is well appointed for families with young kids. We especially enjoyed launching a rental kayak right off the backyard during high tides, and roasting s'mores by the firepit in the evenings. The inlet that the house is located on is very peaceful and quite, which is a welcome change from our urban life. We were sad to see that the Langsford Lobster & Fish House and the Farm + Table store had closed since our last visit to this house 2 summers ago, but the street still maintains its beautiful New England coastal charm. We hope to be back next August!

My husband and I have visited the Kennebunkport area every fall or summer since 2008. We love the whole area. We have particularly enjoyed staying in this lovely home on Cape Porpoise for the past two years. We have already made reservations here for 2025 as well. I don't think we will ever stay anywhere else! We journeyed on to Camden this year, as we had heard how quaint and picturesque it is but it had nothing on Cape Porpoise. We couldn't drive back fast enough! The Chowder House on the Cape Porpoise pier has the freshest, most wonderful food we have found. We love walking to the Bradbury Market down the street. Wonderful selection of fresh foods. Nunan's is right down the road and is always a favorite of ours. What we love most though is the history the Owner provides in the home in a picture book. There is such a connection to the Maine way of life, the lobstering and the various seasons of the year. There is a gorgeous water view with quaint homes. Lobstermen leaving early in the morning and coming back to the pier with the catch. Watching the high tide come in and then leave again! Hearing the church bells ringing on the hour. The utter quiet is amazing and oh so peaceful! This year we were surprised with a beautiful "gaggle" of wild Canadian Geese that took up residence right outside of the house for several days. There are two balconies to sit on and smell that fresh air and soak up the sun. There are tons of toys in the walk out basement, even a firepit! The house is well laid out, and super well appointed. Beds are comfortable, and the house even has a small guest suite up at the front of the house with a mini-kitchen. The house is new and very well decorated. You are able to feel the Maine way of life while you are there!

Heaven on earth!

Six of us spent an idyllic week at Langsford during a truly spectacular week of warm, sunny, September weather. Each morning the sun rose, flooding the deck, the kitchen and the livingroom with glorious sunshine. The house was so well-equipped. The beds were comfortable, abundent bath towels, plenty of cookware, games, books, binoculars, beach towels, chairs, and toys in the basement. We had a very minor maintenance issue which was corrected cheerfully and quickly. The location is tremendous, within walking distance of the market, restaurants, and a tasty gelato van! I was appreciative of the communications with KPT Concierge, and we wanted for nothing. A huge family vacation success in Cape Porpoise!

Perfect location - perfect family trip

What a pleasant experience as we first walked into the Langsford property with all an abundance of windows looking out onto Cape Porpoise Bay and the charming fishing village. The home was superbly equipped for times when we cooked meals together st home or had a few friends visit from Boston. As the grandma of the bunch - the suite on the front of the home provided privacy but not too far from the kids playing in the living room area. The bunk room was delightful and fully equipped with toys! The kitchen was stunning that overlooked a wide deck with lounging and table that were enjoyed often. I also have to commend KPort Concierge. We found the grill to be not functioning - they were very responsive and had a new one delivered the next day! I can’t wait to book again next summer!

House with a view

20 Langsford Road became our little piece of Maine heaven on earth for ten days. The house is lovely - scaled down in an upscale way, very comfortable, all the creature comforts like washer/dryer, dishwasher but what we loved most were the views of the cove from almost every window. Mesmerizing at all times of day and in all weather, especially with the fog rolling in. Our adult daughter loved having her own little apartment - very private with its own kitchenette and full bathroom. Location was wonderful too as far as getting into Kennebunkport for dining and shopping. We loved also being able to walk to three of our favorite places in Cape Porpoise itself - Food & Table, Cape Porpoise Kitchen Provisions, and Bradbury's (for groceries). The one big mistake we made was not to reserve a longer stay - at least two full weeks although, I could happily have stayed a couple of months. No complaints, however. Our stay we would rate an A+.

Fabulous house

The house was even better than it appears in the photos. It was spotless, very tastefully decorated, with all the conveniences one could imagine. The beds were very comfortable. And views were wonderful, particularly from the upstairs porch. What we also hadn’t realized, and really so, was how close it is to the market and several restaurants. We liked being able to walk everywhere. The neighborhood was lovely and the street was quiet. We look forward to returning.
